Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR) Program

Our TNR program provides feral cats with the care they need to survive. This includes spay/neuter and rabies vaccinations. Our feral colony coordinator traps feral cats throughout South Lane County, transporting them to spay/neuter appointments. After adequate recovery time, the feral cats are returned to their previous neighborhood. 

TNR Impact Studies reveal two major shifts in the impact of feral cat colonies on the communities they inhabit. Safe, consistent TNR programs can reduce cat colony populations over time, an average of 50% decrease in many programs around the country. Additionally, shelters experience a decrease in shelter needs and resources - including an 84% decrease in euthanasia.
